In December we made sugar scrubs at our DIY Forever event. They smell great, feel good on your skin when you use them, makes your skin feel amazing after using them, and make/made brilliant gifts! We had a ton of fun making them and they are super easy to put together yourself. In fact, you probably have most, if not all, of the materials you will need to make them! Most of the ingredients for these sugar scrubs you will likely have available in your kitchen. The ones that you may not have (sweet almond oil, vitamin E oil, or some essential oils) you can likely find at your local grocery store or beauty shop. Mixing them together is much like creaming sugar into butter and makes your work area smell absolutely divine! You can vary the consistency of your scrub by using more or less of the coconut or sweet almond oil.
We had three different recipes set out for sugar scrubs, but feel free to experiment with different scents. Many of our attendees did just that with amazingly delicious results! Anyway, onto the recipes!
For jars, you can really use anything you have around, but the recipes above will need at least a 10oz jar or multiple smaller ones. We also had a great time decorating the jars!
